Hi, I'm Brooke Garcia!

I know how difficult it can be as a working parent to leave your child in the care of others.

As a mother of 3 who had a demanding full time job in an office, I personally experienced guilt and worried about the well-being of my children in daycare. I would often ask myself, "Are they learning? Are they eating enough? Are they comfortable?" Out of the desire to be with my children and the understanding of a hard working parent, I decided to open Books & Blankets in Elk Grove in 2018.

You deserve to feel at ease while away from your child.

KNOWING YOUR INFANT OR TODDLER IS IN A safe, nurturing & fun space WHERE THEY CAN play, learn and grow MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE!

With over 8 years experience working in child development for ages ranging from infancy to 17 years old (at both in home daycare and for the Twin Rivers Unified and Elk Grove Unified School Districts where I specialized in teaching students with Autism), I know the value of foundational development to ensure the future success of infants & toddlers.
